Today I opened the first package after getting your notice to review. I noted that one of the unopened vials was partially filled and I suspected that it was a manufacturing fluke until I squeezed it and found it had no flat round sealing top. I then looked at the others in the box and one other vial had no little round sealing top. When I get to the other packages I will decide whether to reorder based on the number of completely sealed vials. I am sure the product in the completely sealed vials is excellent.

I’ve ordered both 3% and 7% hypertonic saline solutions for nebulizer use from Amazon and directly from Base Laboratories. My most recent 7% order from Base is labeled only as “Saline Solution.” Previous orders (also from Base via Amazon) were labeled “Sterile Hypertonic Saline Solution 7%” on both the box and vials. I’ve also noticed that the ingredient list on the vials has changed and now matches the updated box labeling. Both versions still state they are for inhalation use, with a nebulizer shown on the packaging. I’ve noticed a similar label and ingredient change with 3% saline purchased from Amazon in the past, though I not purchase that particular item from you. As someone using this to help manage NTM, I understand the importance of sterile hypertonic saline—specifically the 7% concentration—for breaking down bacterial biofilms in the lungs. I also understand that “sterile hypertonic saline” refers to a high-concentration sodium chloride solution that is microbe-free and safe for medical use. Could you please confirm: Are the current 3% and 7% products still sterile hypertonic saline intended for inhalation via nebulizer? Was there any change to formulation, excipients, sterilization method, or regulatory classification—or was this purely a labeling change? Please provide documentation verifying sterility and concentration for these products/lots (e.g., COA, sterility testing, USP compliance). If labeling terminology changed, why was “sterile hypertonic” removed? If you’re not the right team to answer, please forward this to the appropriate department (QA/Regulatory) and copy me.

Hi—recent orders of your 7% saline no longer say ‘sterile hypertonic’ on the box or vial. Ingredients also changed to match the new label. Can you confirm if the formulation is still the same sterile hypertonic saline used for nebulizers? Thank you! I did not realize this order was NOT sterile and therefore cannot use them.

Vials don't have to be pulled apart and the tops are easy to twist off. The 7% solution is not too harsh, but I do wish you offered a 3.5% or a 5% to rotate with the 7%. I had asked Amazon to start carrying your product, but then I found your site and was able to order direct from you with the same quality of delivery service.

The item you show on this email is not what I received but it is what I ordered. I have been in contact with customer service and they said all packaging of Sterile Hypertonic Saline Solution has been corrected. It is the item I ordered but not the item I received. I received plain Saline Solution. I will never order from your company again. You post pictures of the item but send something else. Your website descriptions are misleading and a way for your company to get rid of an item that probably doesn't sell. Disturbing to say the least.

I thought it was hypertonic saline solution. The saline I have is irritating to my lungs.

I thought I ordered .9%, but when I saw the confirmation email, I emailed immediately. I was told to wait for it to be delivered and let Base know and they would send me a return label. I let them know, but I am still waiting for the return label.

These vials for the nebulizer made a big difference in how much better my boyfriend felt. He works on the road and didn’t have time (too stubborn lol) for the dr. A friend suggested he purchase a nebulizer that he can use anytime and anywhere. We found these vials to go with the nebulizer and were very impressed by how much of a difference they made. The congestion started breaking up, and he could tell his sinuses and chest congestion were clearing up finally.

I’ve done a lot a of reading on the various strengths, hyper, hypo, iso. But how they really work leaves me somewhat confused. I bought the Nebulizer and the saline for the mucus break up. The hyper may work better but there was one lung doctor’s review online which said he would never recommend 7%. He said the effect on your lungs is like putting salt on a snail. So that’s why research is very necessary. One one thing I do not like is that your product is made in China. I never saw this stated on any of your websites or reviews. I do not trust China so I do not know what other ingredients may be in the saline nor do I want to support China when they want to damage many countries. Most likely will not buy again due to that.

At this time I can only provide first impressions since I recently started using 7% as an upgrade from the recommended 3%. My mucus accumulation has been thick and tenacious - an experience I am told many bronchiectasis (BE) patients have. The 7% works tolerably well and I plan to experiment with its practical application. It would be good to know how other BE patients have used the product. Ask me again in 6 months.

We are so happy with these two products and this company that makes them. They have great customer service, shipment notifications and especially great products. We use these 2 items in a nebulizer to remove viruses/germs when starting to not feel good or sinus/migraine starting. Stops it in its tracks or helps to promote healing if already sick. You can use a 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 ratio. 1 part food grade hydrogen peroxide and 4 parts sterile saline. Usually immediate relief even if a sinus infection.

Easy to open and use. Well marked and safe.

I bought this to use in a nebulizer to (hopefully) prevent sore throats caused by dry air. I only used one small bottle and did not go any farther. I could taste the salt when I used it (it's a saline solution, so that wasn't surprising), but it actually made me cough more. I'm not sure what I could change, as this is the same fundamental product sold by several manufacturers. Maybe I should mix it with a little distilled water to dilute it? I'm not blaming the vendor or the manufacturer.

Saline is, indeed, saline. I used to bring it in a large bottle since I didn't like the notion of all the plastic garbage, but I ended up losing a lot of saline because you can't store it open for long. This is the ideal dose for inhalation. It worked great in my tiny sinusitis vaporiser. I'd be happy, but I wish there was a more environmentally responsible choice.

When you're not used to inhaling salt, this product tastes significantly different. I was able to cough up the large pieces of mucous I couldn't do on my own after approximately 10 minutes of breathing this via my nose and mouth with numerous deep breaths!
